I believe I did remove cartridges, swabbed down contact areas, dried, reinstalled cartridges and still got error. I spent most of that time on hold...probably 10 separate "hold" sessions.I had to get out my Type A personality only briefly when I demanded to talk to a supervisor. I tried everything on your list but with no luck. I have yet to receive my follow-up phone call, but I'll let y'all know how it goes and what I get. Without hesitation, they are sending me a refurbished replacement at no charge. Based on the serial number of the unit, mine was manufactured after the problem was “fixed”.

I can't use the printer at all at this point. The second I took the old one out - it was all over. I did.
And it was sent overnight with a one year warrenty :-) it takes some presitence but if you keep calling you will get it.
Unfortunately if you try and buy some recycled cartridges off ebay the Printers detect the recycled\refilled cartridges as a previously depleted HP cartridge that may not be genuine and the units The repair shop I called clued me in to this thread. Not sure at this point if I was just lucky or what but I will continue using wireless to see how it goes.Again, thanks for the suggestions!
