Hardware error message on IBM Thinkpad 600X Discussion in 'Laptops' started by Smiley, Jan 20, 2005. Check this manual: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub...es/09n1033.pdf. That will put you back to the main BIOS display. The only options here is boot from hd1, ffd, cd, when I hit settings nothing happens just hangs.
The symptoms I had; Powered up TP 600X. the bios will be locked aswell as the harddrive!********************************************************... I heard that another guy succeeded in the same modification on his TP240X. > Any BIOS errors?
When attempting start up, I receive an error message 08611. All other tests prove my system "ok". You then need to change the value in the third row and first column (i.e., offset 200) from the "02" that is already there to "01". If your HDD is still good, the other computer can recognize it as an external drive and from there you can save/move/copy/transfer your important files. 2.
