Ibm Thinkpad 600 Error 192
Some XenForo functionality crafted by ThemeHouse. These machines use the CMOS battery to turn the fan on for a couple of seconds just as you power up. I invertently went to RS and bought a battery but wasnt sure that that I could just replace it like that. Many people have had the same problem with a "good" used battery. I already bought a new fan, so i am going to replace it anyway, but do you think a fan can be flakey like that or could it be something else, This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm interested in knowing how this went.
Thinkpad 600 Cmos Battery
After pulling the leads off the CMOS battery and holding them on a new CR2025 3V lithium cell with my fingers while booting up the laptop, it still didn't boot up Thanks again. My first thought was there’s a BIOS password in order to get to the BIOS setup to configure the date/time. When I press the Enter it shows the same light blue screen with a arrow pointing to a instruction booklet.
