I O Error 00008001
C:\ 2.5GB (Windows 2K, D:\2.0GB (Windows Me), E:\3.0GB (Apps), F:\2.0GB (Games), I:\2.0GB (free), J:\2.0GB (free), K:\1.38GB (Win X temp), L:\651MB (for Burner disk transfer). Now I'm trying to put on XP or 2000. I have installed all critical updates and SP2, and have loaded all drivers for the MoBo with no success in making the error "go away" Here is my hardware config: Old: tried to initialize disk on MDR but shows error of internal I/O error Forum Windows 8 repeating disk error!

RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, physically disconnect or remove the Zip drive during setup. I have a Promise Technology Inc. All rights reserved. I am getting the same results with the Hard Drive set to 'Cable Select' or 'Master'. The time now is 01:24 PM.

Trying to Install Windows XP: I am getting the Windows Set Up Blue screen w/ the message at the bottom that says "Set Up is Starting Windows". Better than nothing. I believe you were correct that it was a conflict w/ the Controller card, an old PC, and a new HD. JSI Tip 2051.
