Hp Photosmart C7280 Wrong Cartridges Error Message

I found a brand new old stock ink delivery system (C9087-60008) online for cheap ($25) so I figure it's worth a try before I fork out another $300 for a better Don't reinsert the inks until the printer asks you to. I used it again and ran the nozzle test and noticed that I was not printing any yellow. The printer worked fine until trying to replace this cartridge. But, I don't know why that would make a difference. Guess that makes my problems unique? I makes a funny clicking noise that my dh says sounds like a gear is stripped out.

Anybody got an idea what's going on? Tonight while printing a double-sided document (not my first time, nothing unusual about experience until this point), I went back to check on it after having been in the other room I do not understand what happened but my printer now works and the ink gage shows all cartridges full, as it should, since all are new. I still got the same error code after power on.

Better late than never.What a despicable scam HP has to promote obsolescence and waste the planet's resources just to maximize their silly income stream. The printer will take some time to go through some preparation. What printer do you have? I've tried the things mentioned above but they did not change anything. Figure : Cartridge electrical contacts Clean the contacts inside the carriage, inside the printer.

I unfortunately do not recall the specifics. Swapped back and forth without success. The printer then said it was doing the one-time system initialization, but it hung, so I powered off, then on, and it finally went thru the one-time init properly. It also comes up with the carterage jam message.

First Time Here? I found this webpage on Google, and the * # 123 thing worked perfectly. I even removed the battery but still no good. If these steps worked for you, please mark this post as solved.

It is obviously a software issue as the printer works great when it works. Figure : Remove the clear protective tape Reinstall the cartridge in the printer and try again to print. Where would you get an unopened host cartrdige? Did all that.
