I tried hitting Esc when prompted, holding the Del key during boot, and hitting Del repeatedly during boot. It took alittle longer than normal but now I clicked Repair Startup again.Please help. I popped in my Ubuntu DVD and ran the OS live from the disk to see if the built-in disk utility could see the drive and it does not. Reboot means restart your computer, you don't download reboots. Hp 0021 Now when I try to boot I get error 03FO.As I type this i restarted my computer again and the HDD light is on which it wasnt before. Press F10 to save the change and exit the BIOS, and then press Enter to confirm. I made check test of the hard drive, it finished: PASSED!

It sounds like you do not have the CD ROM as a boot device in the BIOS.
