Before I go that route and expense, I thought I'd ask you all. Most of the time for this particular model I would suggest it's not worth trying this many parts or doing this much troubleshooting... Ive seen this before where it might work for awhile then it gradually gets worse and its becuase the paper is to thick or to slick and the toner doesnt bond key" Now I have pressed this and tried to make tray 2 the default tray to print from, but for some odd reason it won't default to it.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to clean the rollers and inards of one of these printers or will I need a set of new rollers/printer maintenance kit? No one has worked on it but my husband did move it from a table to a printer stand so I wonder if picking it up has done something to it. They make more money by taking my old one in and refurbishing and selling it and then selling me a new one plus it helps their sales figures. If the fusing bulbs and thermo-switches are good, you should observe light from the lower fusing bulb as the printer warms up. These rollers tend to become mushy with age and will deposit bits of rubber and toner to the back of the page. Lets try to simplify it. For example, in a multiple run of pages, the first page - a configuration page - is fine, showing all color blocks. To reinstall it, put the front 2 wheels in the slots, push a little bit and then drop the rear 2 wheels in the slots. There is no way to reset that with out replacing.

Dies it still jam? This process is repeated four times (one time for each toner cartridge). So when I do the test I get a different jamming problem. Hopefully that is the case and it does not have a major issue.
How do I find out!!! If a new fuser or known good fuser does not work, then replacement of the lvps will be necessary. What would be a good printer on the market today that would have the same speed if not better, and preferably a printer with cheaper consumables but still gets the job
