Idvd Multiplexer Error Muxing
So I went back to iDVD and tried a new file. I tell ya, my faith in iDVD via iLife 09 is gone. With no answers from why IDVD wasn't working I had to go to DVD SP and it's giving me formatting failed in the build and burn process!!!!!!! As soon as the "Burn" stage starts, iDVD produces a "Multiplexing error." The help documentation says that the most common reason is missing or bad assets, but all the assets are http://upintheaether.com/error-during/idvd-multiplexer-error-muxing-preparation.php
Every other project size is mere megabytes.....for some reason this project is massive and must be the reason why its causing me headaches with the multiplexing error. iDVD goes through the DVD creation process, but this method ends with a disc image instead of a DVD. Recommended brands here are Verbatim, Maxell and Taiyo Yuden. Apparently there is some kind of protection in iDVD that prevents you from creating the movie part, it makes it past the menu, then crashes at the movie part. useful source

Never had this problem in iLife 08, a few months back. I did check on Apple's support forums, though, and I found this thread that seems to be describing your problem. That's all you have to do. Mount the disk image and then open DVD Player (in Applications) and view your project. Idvd Multiplexer Error During Formatting I've not upgraded to 10.6 yet, any chance there is a bug fix in there that will help solve my issue?? Pretty basic stuff; Every 2-3 months download the MiniDV tape into iMovie and add chapter markers in iMovie, transfer to iDVD. Anyone know if I should give up burning handbrake files or long files in IDVD... I love my Mac. I made hundreds of movies with iDVD, every single one has a chapter mark at the beginning of the movie. There Was An Error During Muxing Preparation

I created a new iDVD project with just 6 of the 13 movies as a test. Location of Chapters• Can't be at start or end of movie (Skip first/start one - iDVD sets this by it self. I think it is extremely incompetent - and disrespectful to the customers - to keep releasing such half-baked software for years. Guess I jinxed myself on that statement.
If this is a common problem, one would think they would deal with it?
