In a nutshell, I'm not too computer tech savvy and I do not know what RAID or IDE is, does, or what that fix exactly did.
I did this- mine was set to RAID. I have checked the cables attached to the hard drive and the cable attached and motherboard are both plugged in tightly. Now that doesnt mean that there is anything to worry about either. As for 7b BSOD, your Windows XP simply has no drivers for this hardware.
