Tar Directory Checksum Error Solaris
It turned out it was due to an incompatibility in the version of Tar I had used to create the tar and the version I was using to untar the file. Any ideas what I am doing wrong. What does it mean.How to resolve this. I am tryin to restore a file backed up on a external Tape drive.

The script doesnt use mt anywhere as well.Also, an issue if you've ever come across this.... Also, make sure you are in bin mode if using ftp. To be honest, I'm not sure how the tapes are archived since they are done automatically by the software. Where are sudo's insults stored? I tried with tar -xf and tar -tvf commands.but not worked.
