I've taken the HDD from my old HP G62-144DX laptop (which no longer powers on) and used an Inland hard drive enclosure kit to convert it to an external USB plug-and-play On the Advanced Settings tab, select PIO Only in the Transfer Mode box for the device that represents the appropriate drive. news

I don't think this is entirely the cause of the problem though, because when I tried plugging this into other systems it read E, but still with the same I/O device click site I tried plugging it into my laptop and although it showed as a drive (E:), it wouldn't bring up any files and gave me an error message as well.
